About the Recipe

This vibrant smoothie is a nutritional powerhouse! Delivers a burst of vitamins, fibre, protein and healthy fats from wholefoods. It's an easy way to sneak in more veggies while promoting skin, heart, and digestive health. Enjoy this tasty and wholesome smoothie as a morning or afternoon snack, after a workout, or as an occasional breakfast if time is not your friend!

Ingredients

1-2 cups spinach or kale (can be frozen)

1 x banana

1 x kiwifruit or ½ cup pineapple chunks

½ - 1 x avocado

½ - 1 Lebanese cucumber (skin left on)

1 x tsp chia seeds

2 x tablespoons seeds (pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, or sesame)

2 x tablespoons nuts (cashews, almonds, macadamias, Brazil, hazelnuts, or pistachios)

Preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients together with water (filtered if possible). Add more water if necessary to achieve desired consistency.

  2. Makes 1 large serving or 2 small.

  3. Can be made 1-2 days in advance and stored in fridge in a jar, just shake or stir before serving.
